Frequently asked questions

Is work remote?

Yes, all work is remote because we are an international organization.

Can i set my own hours

Yes, hours are your own to set. We will only ask in limited circumstances for you to volunteer outside of those, and agreement for that is voluntary.

What is the minimum committed time?

The minimum expectation is 2+ hours per week, although you're encouraged to do more if possible.

Will I work with a team?

Team Communication:
You will be added to our WhatsApp group to connect and collaborate with fellow team members.

Division Breakdown:

Education:
- Beginner to Intermediate 1: You'll work with students who speak the native language you selected.
- Intermediate 2 to Advanced: You'll work with students from diverse backgrounds worldwide.
- Academic Content Developer: Work on refurbishing curricula, creating new curricula, making lessons, and controlling classroom LMS.
Marketing:
- Join one of 4 rolls: Post-Creation and Filming, Script Writing and Community Management, Strategy, or Analytics.
Strategic Partnerships:
- Research, connect with, develop, and onboard partnerships across the world. Free Fluency Academy looks for partners in all corners of the globe. While we only require English-language abilities, this position is better suited to those with additional language abilities to better communicate with potential partners.

Is this position paid?

Unless otherwise communicated, positions at Free Fluency Academy are unpaid volunteer positions. Starting in July 2025, we are rolling out a program to cover the internet expenses caused by our programs to certain legacy volunteers in certain sections from particular countries.
