Volunteering and Learning

Join ENGin as a conversation partner or student (Ukrainian Students Only)! This is a flexible and unique opportunity to make a direct impact on someone's life while discovering a new culture and meeting a new friend.

ENGin's program pairs volunteers with Ukrainian students for weekly videochats focused on language practice and cultural exchange. In just 1 hour a week, volunteers make an outsized impact by helping their partners practice speaking in English, sharing their culture, and offering an empathetic, authentic space for connection. This program is fully remote. Volunteers can participate from anywhere in the world, and you meet at times convenient for you. No experience with Ukrainian culture or language is needed; all ENGin students can hold a basic conversation in English.

Our only requirements for volunteers are English fluency, a strong internet connection, and the ability to commit to one hour a week for a minimum of 10-12 weeks. ENGin welcomes volunteers ages 13-80+.
